These splitters are used to run two powered multiswitches from one quatro (or quad) LNB. Unlike other splitters
currently available, these splitters have built in amplification and so do not need an amp in front of them

This unit goes before the multiswitch to split the 4 signals from an LNB and the aerial feed to
two multiswitches. This then allows more outputs to be made available. e.g. feeds two 32 out multiswitches
to provide 64 outputs. When using a splitter it is recommended that a 5 in and 5 out EMP amp is
fitted before (in front of) the splitter. e.g. The quatro LNB and aerial feeds the amp (1 UHF and 4 IF
signals) and the amp feeds the splitter (1 UHF and 4 IF signals) then the splitter with (2 UHF and 8 IF
signals) two sets of 1 UHF and 4 IF signals feeds two 32 output multiswitches. This unit is passive and
does not need a power supply. It is important to use it with the 5 in and 5 out amp above. Using the 5 in
and 20 out splitter four 32 out multiswitches could be used OR four of any of the other 5 input switches

Triax 10-30 Tap.



This unit goes before the multiswitch to split the 4 signals from an LNB and the aerial feed to
two multiswitches. Unlike a normal splitter, a tap can attenuate the signal to one of the multiswitches.
The reason this may be needed is as follows - if two multiswtches are to be used, one close and the other
distant (long cable run), an amp like the EMP amp would be put in front of this tap and then through the
tap to the two multiswithes. The signal would be amplified and the distant multiswitch would receive a
good strong signal. However, with a normal splitter, the close multiswitch would be overloaded with too
much signal. The tap privents that as one of the outputs can be attenuated. Adjustable attenuation is
available. That is how it all works in simple terms but triax do not make a 5 in and 10 out tap. They
only make a 5 in and 15 out tap. This can be used with two multiswitches or three multiswitches.
One output is the "through" non attenuated output and two outputs have variable attenuation.
